Reports To: Infrastructure Manager
Responsible for installing, maintaining, monitoring and improving the wired and wireless network infrastructure for all North Point Ministries campuses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements, maintains and repairs all network systems that provide features to more than one campus including:
Internet access with DNS based filtering protection
Cisco routers, switches, WLAN controllers & APs
DNS & DHCP services
Collaborates with Support Analysts to ensure reliable, consistent network access and systems availability
Administers Cisco VoIP phone system across campuses
Maintains and improves NPM SAN environment
Performs monthly system upgrades
Documents all core network systems
Serves as a backup to the System Administrator on the ongoing support and maintenance of NPM servers as well as services such as Google Suite and Zendesk
Completes other duties and projects as assigned
Continually expands knowledge base by attending seminars, conferences and professional training
Two or more years of enterprise-level network analysis and administration, ideally working with Cisco gear
Experience working with solutions that include different operating systems, hardware, and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Naturally organized and methodical, with strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree required with two years of experience in customer service, or technology support or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Typically, 40 hours a week, Sunday through Thursday, during normal business hours.
Completes regular network maintenance outside of normal business hours, typically one to two times a month. Occasional work outside of typical hours to support product launches, campaigns, events, and seasonal influxes. Also, occasional non-IT related work outside of typical hours to support the greater mission of North Point Ministries.
Travel required between metro Atlanta offices during workday.
Some heavy lifting may be required.
