.NET developer

Reports To: Digital Development Director
FLSA Status: Exempt

Responsible for engineering, developing, and supporting digital products built on .NET and SQL Server for North Point Ministries.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, develops, and implements solutions using .NET and SQL Server for Rock RMS

  • Follows established processes and uses current industry best practices for .NET development

  • Thoroughly documents all solutions so they can be efficiently supported and maintained

  • Troubleshoots, fixes defects, and provide general server maintenance for the organizations installations of Rock RMS

  • Contributes to the ongoing development of the team by offering recommendations in the areas of process improvement and new technologies

  • Completes other projects as assigned by the Digital Development Director


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Computer Science with 5+ years of recent experience architecting, designing, and building large scale distributed systems and web applications in an agile environment using the Microsoft development stack.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Excellent knowledge of C# and the .NET framework.

  • Experience with Microsoft IIS and SQL Server maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of object oriented programming concepts

  • Naturally organized and methodical with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable participating in collaborative discussions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience using TDD

  • Desired: familiarity with extending Rock RMS

None


HOURS

Typically no more than 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.

Occasional work outside of typical hours to support product launches, campaigns, events, and seasonal influxes. Also, occasional non-IT related work to support the greater mission of North Point Ministries.
